          I am Estevan Vasquez, and my art is primarily an expression of my love for nature, comedy, and story. I am a storyboard artist and I primarily try to show comedy and use animals to tell my stories. I use anthropomorphic animals for my characters because I love the idea of humans having the same abilities that these animals have, from the axolotl’s regeneration, to the ant’s strength, to even having multiple arms like most bugs. My favorite genre to work on is comedy, I enjoy the feeling of bringing people joy and seeing my work make them laugh speaks volumes to me. When it comes to drama, I like the kind of drama that reminds people to love and be grateful about the things they have, by showing the emotions of losing something close to them.

          My creativity is always thinking of new ways to tell a story that I usually rework my art based on new ideas that I recently thought of and that’s why I enjoy storyboards so much. The general story has already been created and that gives structure to the larger points of the story; but the small beats, the in-between moments between characters are still being created and are able to be changed without impacting the timing or finances of the project. My art is a statement that shows my optimistic attitude towards the world with laughable characters with unique abilities, that aren’t impossible, and thought-provoking messages.
